1. What did you do this past week?

Last week was a failure for me. Starting from Monday, where I missed the alarm to wake up for class, and then finding out that I had the flu the day after. As a result, I didn’t attend any classes until Friday, and I missed the CNS career fair. It seems like my body has this clock that activates every career fair where I get sick even if I am not attending. Really weird. Other than the sickness, I went to Houston to visit my parents on Saturday, and I am now writing this blog post on my way back in the car.

I also put in my two-week notice for one of my two jobs so I should have more free time during the week.

  2. What’s in your way?

Nothing is currently in my way. There a couple of assignments I have to do as soon as I am back home, but they should be pretty easy.

  3. What will you do next week?

Now that my schedule is finally more stable, I can focus on school a bit more. I will start by doing my assignments ahead of time and actually doing the readings for the classes.

  4. What’s my experience of the class?

So far, my experience with this class has been good. I really hoped that we could pick our own teams for the projects, but getting to know new people is always fun so there is that.

  5. What’s my pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

After years of work, WordPress (what this blog is written on) is switching from React as the framework to modernize the blogging software due to Facebook’s ridiculous license. If you use react for your personal projects or work, keep in mind that you cannot sue Facebook for any reason without losing your license to use React!
